Thank you, Mr. King, for adding campgrounds and old people in RVs to the list of things never seen the same again. The list includes but is not limited to: balloons, clowns, parked school buses at night, historical hotels and crows in the corn. BTW, Doctor Sleep was fantastic and a stunning sequel to The Shining.
While I am discussing Stephen King books, do yourself a favor and read Mr. Mercedes. It was amazing. The book contained two profound thoughts I have to share:
1) "Everyone likes the ice cream man" - like clowns and caravaning groups of elderly people weren't enough, now a new creepy thing.
2) "Cutting the skin of the world and leaving a scar. That's all history is after all: scar tissue."
Amazing book and yes I read it in seven hours.
I am currently waiting for Revival to be released. I am third on the list for the library copy. I cannot wait to see what everyday item Mr. King has transformed into the stuff of nightmares.
